Keith Moss has over 20 years of experience as a Professional Photographer working on diverse subject matters. Over the years Keith has built up an exelent customer base working within industries such as Fashion, Fine Art , Commercial, Food, Industrial, and commercial sectors.
Keith is a member of a group of leading UK photographers and printers who support ILFORD PHOTO in presenting Master classes to College Teachers and Lecturers, Students, and Enthusiasts, including competition winners, and is proud to be part of the "Defend the Darkroom Campaign.
Keith is also a member of a select list of specialist mentors for the Digital City Fellowship scheme and often is called upon to mentor other professional photographers
Be assured you are in safe hands, all the courses are relaxed and fun there is always plenty of coffee and tea on the go and if you are here for the day Lunch will be provided. Keith will take you through all the stages of shooting, processing and printing Black and White film in his fully equiped Studio and Dark Room based in Saltburn by the sea.

Processing Black and White Film
- Preparing and mixing all the necessary chemicals
- Loading the exposed film on to a film spool
- Film tank Proceedures.
- TExplaining step by step the processes of Film developer, stop and fixer.
- Washing Film.
- Drying film.
- Push and pull processing.
- Making your first contact sheet.
Course time is Four hours. Cost £195.00 Please bring your exposed black and white film.
Printing Black and White Film in a Darkroom.
- Understanding what equipment you need and how to set up a simple darkroom.
- Preparing, mixing and understanding all the necessary chemistry.
- Making your first print.
- Basic dodging and burning.
- Print Washing.
- Print Drying.
Course time is Four hours. Cost £195.00 Please bring you developed negatives so we can print them.
Full Day Black and White Photography Course
“How to work with Film”
This course is designed for the beginner to photography who wants to learn the art on either film or digital. Keith is a strong believer in the fact that if you understand how to use film, it will make you a better digital photographer.
- Introduction into film and choosing the right film speed for quality and effect.
- Understanding ISO, Shutter speed , Aperture, and there relationship to each other
- Understanding dept of field.
- Working with black and white Filters, Red, Orange, Green, Yellow and polarising.
- Working with a Tripod.
- Putting it all together and shooting your first roll
Subject matter for your day can contain Landscape, Seascape, photography, how to work with a professional model, object / still life or just life the choice is yours.
Course time is Eight hours. Cost £395.00 all you need to bring is your camera and passion and leave the rest to Keith.
If you want to work with a professional model there would be an extra cost.
